Senior Manufacturing Technician / 1st Shift (6:45 am to 3:00 pm) Requisition ID: 39063 Job Location(s): Mountain Home, AR, US Job Description Responsibilities: The Senior Manufacturing Technician will directly report to the Manufacturing Manager. In this critical role, the incumbent will be responsible for performing assigned tasks related to product manufacturing and assembly. Additionally, the position entails operating, adjusting, and maintaining equipment to meet stringent quality and safety regulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with operators to ensure precise machine set-up according to specific requirements. Adherence to safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout, Personal Protective Equipment, Fall Protection and Forklift Operation, is paramount. Job Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: * Optimizing Machines: Ensure that all braiding machines operate within validated parameters. * Process Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives. * Interdepartmental Communication: Foster effective communication with other departments to enhance shop floor efficiency. * Thorough Understanding: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of departmental SOPs, specifications, ISO standards, and plant and department SEH regulations. * Special Projects: Execute special projects and assignments as needed. * Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment. Background & Skills Qualifications and Skills: * Education: A two-year technical degree is preferred. However, five years of equivalent manufacturing technical experience is also acceptable. * Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments. * Problem-Solving Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving issues during the manufacturing process. * Attention to Detail: Keen eye for identifying and addressing potential problems. * Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices, particularly in the rubber hose manufacturing sector. * Technical Proficiency: Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including understanding systems, machinery operation, repair, technical specifications, and electrical schematics. Additional Requirement: * Flexibility: Must be willing to work extended hours as needed.
