Position Overview: Reporting directly to the Chief Philanthropy Officer with a dotted line to the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy, the Senior Coordinator, Philanthropy, works both independently and as a member of the philanthropy team, performing a wide range of complex and confidential administrative and project management related duties, including responsibility for philanthropy and senior executive team administrative needs as appropriate. The Senior Coordinator, Philanthropy, requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide information and service to various internal and external contacts. Essential Functions/Duties/Tasks: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES/TASKS * Provides a wide range of administrative support for the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Senior Vice President to include: * Scheduling meetings and appointments; managing complex calendars. * Composing and editing correspondence including letters, memoranda, reports, presentations, and other communications as needed. * Reviewing, assessing, routing, answering, and monitoring follow-up action steps regarding correspondence and donor actions with the Office of the President. * Organizing and maintaining digital files and records. * Arranging travel; tracking and processing receipts. * Serves as principal administrative contact and liaison with NPF constituents and external contacts, including individual donors. * Coordinates philanthropy recruitment activities with other NPF departments and coordinates the promotion process of NPF philanthropy employees. * Contributes to the unit effort by accomplishing other related duties as required. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * 3 years minimum work experience supporting others at the executive level. Philanthropy work experience a plus. College degree is not required if candidate has a proven track record of success. * Excellent organizational skills; ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously in an efficient and effective manner. Meets deadlines and related commitments. Project management experience a plus. * Ability to handle, communicate, and manage confidential organizational and donor information with discretion. Must assure donor confidence in the National Park Foundation. * Proven ability to work well under pressure. Must be flexible and able to quickly adjust to changing situations, schedules, and priorities. Must be detail-oriented. * Excellent communication skills with ability to present information effectively. * Strong written and grammatical skills to develop and edit written communications. * Must be self-motivated and proactive, make sound decisions, and always exercise good judgment and professionalism. * Ability to work both independently and as a team member in a collaborative manner. * Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Experience using project management software and donor databases preferred. Experience using Blackbaud NXT and Wrike project management software a plus.
