What we are looking for: We are seeking a Part-Time Helpdesk Technician - INTERN to provide IT support services to staff and internal clients. Keeps the computer systems operating efficiently and assures that computer standards are implemented and enforced. Troubleshoots and resolves system problems, and assists with project management research, implementation, and system administrative duties. SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission to provide best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both members and internal members. In addition, under the direction of the Director Technology Services, provides IT support services to staff and internal clients. Keeps the computer systems operating efficiently and assures that computer standards are implemented and enforced. Troubleshoots and resolves system problems, and assists with project management research, implementation, and system administrative duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Part-time Intern position * Install and configure software and hardware. * Manage data integrity/backups. * Set up accounts and workstations. * Monitor performance and maintain systems according to best practices. * Troubleshoot issues and outages. * Respond to and resolve help desk requests. * Assist in the review of server logs. * Upgrade systems with new releases and patches. * Manage SharePoint site content making changes requested by departments. * Maintain a flexible schedule; some weekend and after-hours work will be required; on call and scheduled off-hour work is expected as needed. * Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * Experience with patch management * Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery * Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms * Knowledgeable in Windows O/S and Microsoft Office. * Server operating systems, Exchange/Outlook, telecom support * Excellent communication skills * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
