Description The Operations Product Development team drives technology, business process and strategic innovation supporting Applied Materials Global Operations. The rapid growth in semiconductor markets across the world presents unprecedented challenges and opportunities in manufacturing, supply chain and quality. In this role you will serve as the interface between organizations within Global Operations to spearhead product development initiatives that help better align supply and demand on an ongoing basis. Products will utilize the latest advances in software development, data analytics, and operations strategy to help guide decision making at all levels. Responsibilities * Develop new products and associated business processes that improve manufacturing and supply chain agility, optimize factory planning, and serve as an input into strategic decisions * Own the delivery of the overall technical and/or workflow solution with minimal effort and input from others; be the first person to identify and speak out when new program risks arise * Understand business problems related to manufacturing operations; identify and represent user needs by actively defining and aligning product requirements with stakeholder teams * Maintain product roadmap that prioritizes product features and become single point of contact for the product that communicates effectively with cross-functional teams on a regular basis * Establish a constructive working relationship with partner teams, manage product lifecycle including requirements, algo/SW development, testing and pilot phases * Manage internal and external partnerships related to technology, strategy, and operations Desired Qualifications * Degree in quantitative field (Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Statistics or equivalent) * Deep understanding of, or direct experience in operations, supply chain, manufacturing, product management, systems engineering or quality * Previous experience developing software or business intelligence tools in a user-centric agile environment * Proficiency in statistics, data science and/or AI/ML * Viewed as an evangelist for new ideas with strong written and verbal communication skills * Previous experience implementing new workflows into existing business processes, or design and implementation of change management * Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to influence and communicate effectively within a diverse community (sales, finance, marketing, strategy, management) * Self-motivated individual who can drive progress towards broad objectives without close supervision * Preferred (primary) location is in Austin. Secondary location is Santa Clara, CA * Expected 25% travel Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Skills: Certifications: Languages: Years of Experience: 4 - 7 Years Work Experience: Additional Information Time Type: Full time Employee Type: Assignee / Regular Travel: Yes, 25% of the Time Relocation Eligible: Yes U.S. Salary Range: $152,000.00 - $209,000.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
