260 Days per year - 8 Hours per day JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Executive Administrative Assistant TYPE OF POSITION: Classified REPORTS TO: Superintendent or designee POSITION PURPOSE: Performs secretarial and assistant duties for the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Director of Communications and Marketing ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. * Organize the setup of the Professional Learning Center as needed for scheduled meetings. * Submits requisitions for purchases and manages appropriate accounts payable vouchers. * Coordinates travel arrangements for out-of-district professional learning for teachers and administrators. * Provides support for district-wide planning, professional development, and professional learning. * Maintain Cabinet Calendar * Assist with the general operations of the central office by answering calls, taking messages, and referring the caller to the appropriate person. * Assist with the coordination of the Wawasee Education Foundation. * Assist in the centralized registration process, ensuring the details of data input are accurate and consistent with standards. * Assist with maintaining the social media calendar per the direction of administration. * Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: * Six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * High School diploma. * Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence. * Skills in human relations. * Ability to plan and organize, good work habits. * Employees should be able to use the machines, tools, equipment, and work aids which may be representative, but not all inclusive, of that commonly associated with the type of work, i.e., copier, email, basic knowledge of Google Docs, Calendar, Sheets, and Slides, * Other qualifications as deemed desirable by the School Board. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
