JOB SUMMARY: The Program Management Office (PMO) Intern will work with the Director of Programs to improve business resource planning, project performance, and assist Program Managers in administrative tasks. The Intern will collaborate with various business functions, research, and analyze performance results (quality and cost) across the value stream, and build better business management tools. The Intern will further develop skills in quality management, scheduling, financial management, performance analysis tools, and process improvement. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Research and implement updates to new or existing department policies and procedures. * Support project specific needs such as CDRLs, records management, scheduling, quality documentation, data collection, reports, analysis, and communication methods. * Engage in Program Management Office (PMO) project performance reviews (PMRs, EMRs, EARs,), capture meeting minutes, action items, and planned improvement opportunities. * Assist in completing PMO reports for the business (e.g. quality, schedule and financial performance), and support the automation and standardization of inputs / outputs. * Help to analyze and develop visual tools for statistical inference from existing business systems (Sales Force, Work Otter, ProPricer, etc), and communication of information to stakeholders. * Help develop PMO key performance indicators (KPIs) in quality and on-time delivery. * Perform other related duties as required by supervisor. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business; Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Project Management, Computer Science, General Business and Administration, Aviation, Aircraft Management, Finance and Accounting, or related field. * Relative Certifications preferred/ability to obtain preferred; US DOD or Military, Project Management Professional (PMI-PMP), Lean and/or Six Sigma, PMI-Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) * Preferred experience with organizing, reporting, estimating, scheduling, and financial planning QUALIFICATIONS * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking * Proficient Microsoft Office suite software applications * Basic understanding of Aviation and/or Simulation technology. * Highly organized, task oriented, and able to multi-task Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship. Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks. Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
