What's In It For You: * Choice of excellent health plans * Dental and vision plans * 401k plan and safe harbor with company match up to 6% * Annual bonus * Generous vacation * Salary: $100,000 Primary Function: The Equipment Engineer II will play the lead role in the development of systems, procedures, methods and drive improvement efforts in maintaining site equipment, and developing operating methods and procedures with a view to being a key contributor on the site leadership team. Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities: * Develop an in-depth technical understanding of CVD diamond-synthesis reactors and other site equipment, and create SOP's for preventative maintenance as-needed. * Be a key member of the site leadership team and ensure that the maintenance team's KPI's are fully aligned with site goals. * Utilize data analysis tools to evaluate and improve PM schedules and programs. * Manage a team of Maintenance Technicians tasked with seeking improvement opportunities in line with best practices and driving continuous improvement across the function. * Manage the hiring, training and development of Maintenance Technicians and ensure ongoing process compliance. * Ensure that SOP's are frequently reviewed and modified to maximize efficiencies. * Proactively assist with the development and implementation of factory and site acceptance procedures. * Outline and specify critical spare parts and calibration equipment for both commissioning and equipment maintenance. * Develop training programs to ensure seamless onboarding of new staff. * Collaborate closely with other team members to ensure delivery of complete and fully coordinated solutions. * Become the in-house expert on the production and facilities equipment and take on a supporting role for the equipment technicians. Education and Experience: (Knowledge, skills, & abilities) * Mechanical Engineering: minimum Bachelor's Degree or related technical discipline. * 5 years of experience in a mechanical or electrical engineering role. * Specific knowledge of vacuum equipment and processes preferred. * Project management experience preferred. * Experience with data analysis, and using data to resolve challenging technical problems. * Experience in managing both internal and external resources; maintenance, design, OEM, etc. * Strong written and verbal English-language communication skills. * Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively. * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, both within and outside one's own work group. * Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-moving work environment; comfortable in leading and dealing with change. * Independence: Ability to work independently while applying available resources. * Leadership: Self-motivated and comfortable taking on responsibility; demonstrable experience breaking down and resolving challenging technical problems. * Collaboration: Understands the importance of and has the ability to communicate effectively. * Computer Literacy: Excellent computer literacy including data analysis, project planning and presentations * Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States, and must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
