* Supervise School Police Officers, Security Officers, and related personnel as assigned. * Prepare required reports and documents for accuracy and action. * Answer inquiries from Campus Police officers regarding police procedures. * Manage special assignments that involve School Police Officers. * Coordinate maintenance of department vehicles as assigned. * Review offense reports submitted by assigned officers. * Coordinate security for school events. * Review off-duty assignments of assigned officers to ensure they meet department regulations and are approved by authorized supervisor. * Ensure assigned officers follow department general orders, district policy, and department standard operating procedures. * Develop and maintain appropriate records. * Must be able to work any shift hours or assigned function, including weekends and holidays; no schedule is considered permanent to include days off and may be changed to meet the needs of the department. * Demonstrate computer skills and a knowledge of the programs within Microsoft office including but not exclusive to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Candidates need to have strong reading, writing, and observational skills. * Demonstrate competency to perform responsibilities without direct supervision. * Demonstrate the ability to solve problems of a routine degree of complexity under pressure. * Demonstrate composure to work under time pressures and demands of the position to ensure completion deadlines are achieved. * Demonstrate Initiative to maintain confidentiality of information. * Demonstrate creativity to prepare clear and concise reports. * Demonstrate the ability to interact effectively with a diverse community of district staff members and the public. * Demonstrate organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills required to achieve the goals of the position. * Bilingual (English and Spanish) not required but preferred * High School Diploma or GED. * Minimum of 60 college hours preferred. * Texas Peace Officer License issued by Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCOLE) Intermediate Peace * Officer certification or higher required. * 3-5 Direct Three (3) years of Dallas ISD Police Department experience or one (1) year of Dallas ISD Police Department experience and two (2) years of law enforcement experience required. * Travel throughout the district is integral to this job.
