JOB DESCRIPTION Under moderate direction, coordinates the full life cycle of non-exempt and skilled recruiting for assigned plant location to include: relationship maintenance with hiring managers; requisition assignment; management in-take meeting; posting and sourcing; identifying qualified candidates; facilitating the interview process; conducting interviews; and candidate selection/on-boarding. Supports the function with standardization of programs, processes and systems. Works with more autonomy than entry level recruiters. May train less experienced recruiters. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Recruits hourly and non-exempt salaried positions for the manufacturing plant assigned. Efficiently and effectively fills open positions. * Develops and updates job postings with job specifications for posting open jobs on the DENSO website and online career boards. Screens candidate's resumes and/or job applications. Assesses applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, experience and aptitudes. Conducts interviews using various reliable personnel selection tools/methods to filter candidates. Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the selection process. * Networks within the community and may participate in job fairs at local high schools, technical schools and community colleges. * Works with external contract vendors to ensure proper candidates are being sourced for contract openings. * Conducts regular follow-up meetings with managers to determine effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation. * Collects and conducts KPI tracking to support the analysis of the success of non-exempt talent acquisition initiatives. * Supports the function with analysis and advice to improve programs, processes and systems across manufacturing plant assigned. * Mentors less experienced colleagues to support their development and advancement along with participating in improving function standards and efficiencies. * Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management or related field required. * 2 - 5 years of relevant experience required. SKILLS AND ABILITIES * Strong knowledge and familiarity with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations * More in-depth knowledge/understanding of non-exempt recruiting best practices and current industry trends. * Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain relationships with an ability to work as part of a cross functional team. * Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Strong analytical skills, with an ability to gather and analyze data. * Strong written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills. Ability to communicate with internal and external customers on issues of moderate to considerable importance. * Strong customer service skills. Ability to promote and support a service-oriented environment. * Good negotiation skills. Ability to defend position strongly while keenly aware of the need to maximize benefits for all sides. * Basic project management skills, including identifying and scheduling process steps, determining resources and staff required to successfully complete assigned projects or project steps and reporting on project milestones. * Ability to train or transfer knowledge to less experienced recruiters. * Continuous improvement mindset. Ability to apply process improvement planning and checking to own work output. The work environment for this position is typically indoors in a pleasant, well-lighted area with comfortable temperatures and a controlled environment with no significant amounts of dust, fumes or odors. Unavoidable accidents and health hazards are unlikely.
