Position Summary Perform all aspects of data architecture including evaluating the data available and design of blueprints for creating, testing and maintaining data and information architecture; in-depth analysis, data modeling, quality management, software development, refactoring, data migrations, code reviews, unit and integration testing, deployment activities, and post-deployment support; implement designs with long-term objectives in mind; provide business analysis on current work flows and data requirements and develop appropriate dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence applications and platforms; follow policies and standards for data and information architecture, data modeling, conceptual database design, as well as data naming and meta data documentation standards; work with database administrators and data analysts to ensure they can easily use and access data; determine user needs and create solutions so that they can access data; perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. This is an unclassified at-will position. Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information science or computer science; and Four (4) years of data architect or computer programming experience. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire. Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.
