Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university with six to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Preferred Qualifications: * Fastener or metal forming experience is preferred * Knowledgeable about various manufacturing processes * CPIM (certificate Production and Inventory Management) or equivalent. Physical Demands: * The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * The employee is responsible to maintain fitness-for-duty while holding the above-described position and should be able to perform the essential tasks of the position in a safe, appropriate and effective manner. This refers to the physical, mental and emotional duties of the job. * Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending. * The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 25 pounds. * Needs a high degree of concentration in a busy office environment. * Need to be able to wear safety steel toe shoes and walk around at shop floor environment as needed. * Do not wear loose clothing (e.g. skirts , scarfs, etc) in the shop production area. Be able to remove dangling jewelry for shop floor assigned tasks, and wear hearing protection as needed. Benefits/Salary: The position includes competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance (medical, dental, vision), excellent 401k matching program, paid holidays and vacation. The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $141,000. Directs and coordinates activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in an organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. * Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of materials and services. * Devise methods and policies ensuring most efficient and economical movement of all materials in and out of plant. * Coordinate functions related to production and inventory control, and review completed sales orders. * Plans and organize activities of the material control department to best utilize personnel to achieve short and long-range goals. * Administer controls on receipt and acknowledgement of materials and supplies and the maintenance of purchasing records. * Cooperate and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth flow of materials. * Analyze and evaluate inventory and delivery problems and recommend solutions. * Arrange for the scale of scrap, obsolete and surplus materials, and by-products. * Report daily ship numbers and issues. * Check the load of components stores. * Monthly check backlog, past dues, main of inventory levels and check late duties for MRP (Material Requirements Planning). * Plans, organizes, directs, and controls activities related to the procurement function. * Organizes, supervises, and directs the work of storeroom and central supply personnel engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering supplies and equipment.
