Job Description This is an Interim assignment in the Emergency Room at Northwest Medical Center. The Interim Director of Emergency Services will oversee all ED operations for a short term assignment. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care; advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Directs the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Generally manages professional staff. Education Required: Bachelors degree in Nursing. Preferred: Masters degree ( i.e. MSN, MHA or MBA). Experience Required: Five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including three (3) years in leadership. Preferred: Previous experience in short term leadership roles. Licenses/Certifications Required: Current Arizona RN license or compact state license and American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross(ARC) BLS Preferred: Nationally recognized certification in area of expertise.
