Now, we're launching in cereal aisles at Target, Walmart, Kroger, and many more retail stores all across the country! We're looking for a Senior Food Scientist to support the development work associated with our exciting pipeline of projects! This is a full time, in-person/hybrid role (Tues, Weds, Thursday in office) based in Tribeca, NYC. Some additional travel may be required for this role. As Senior Food Scientist, you'll: Primary * Manage Ingredients/Formulas in nutrition software * Be responsible for all calculations for packaging * Us vs. them * Net carbs * NFP * Ingredient declaration * Be responsible for prototyping, formulation, pilot production and scale-up to plant implementation of innovation & renovation projects * Create technical documents, specifications and cook preps * Manage Lab Inventory needed for prototypes and samples * Manage Internal Sensory testing - including analysis of results/recommendations of next steps * Coordinate benchtop sample requests to ensure samples/prototypes are completed in a timely and efficient manner Secondary * Provide technical support to Operations/Manufacturing Team for commissioning of innovation and renovation projects * Leverage R&D resources at manufacturing facilities to increase technical capabilities for product/process improvement initiatives * Support ingredient and formulation trial plans * Ensure compliance to internal and external policies, quality standards and legal requirements * Provides support in building technical expertise and maintaining a community of best practice to technical colleagues * Maintain accurate and complete records with a high level of organization * Handle product cuttings, testing and other duties as assigned * Support team on shelf life testing - real time and accelerated
