Purchasing Agent The Purchasing Agent works with the Lead Purchasing Agent to help Jerry's manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels. The Job * Create, review, and place product purchase orders * Review order confirmations for accuracy * Review past due purchase orders * Work with the Inventory team to maintain vendor and SKU information * Manage in stock levels to company standards * Work with store operations staff to address inventory issues * Work directly with Buyers to optimize inventory * Review ads to ensure advertised product is in stock and priced correctly * Create transfer orders to and from the Distribution Center and between stores * Process billing errors from Accounts Payable * Other duties as assigned Requirements * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities * Excellent communication skills * Ability to quickly learn and understand processes and systems * Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) experience preferred, but not required * Store Operations (Stocking and/or Sales) experience preferred, but not required Compensation * The Purchasing Agent is an hourly position starting at $43,000 per year, including Overtime * Full-time position with benefits Schedule * Schedule is typically Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional weekends as business requires * Position located at the Corporate Office at our Highway 99 location
