Position Summary: This is a temporary position to develop the skills of a student enrolled in a high school technical trade program, and to evaluate their potential for future opportunity at Straumann. Straumann runs a world class shop and supports training and teaching of students. This is a great opportunity for the right student. Major Responsibilities of the Position: * Prepare daily micro-sections samples for production * Operate manual machines including engine lathes and milling machines * Operate CNC machinery with assistance of a Machinist to ensure parts meet specifications. * Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to include SPC part inspection * Follow procedures and quality requirements * Clean and maintain machines. * As assigned by management Physical Attributes: * Utilize eyesight and manual dexterity to work with small parts and hold tight tolerances. * General manufacturing environment. * Will be exposed to conditions associated with manufacturing equipment and tools * Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs.
