Elastic is seeking a Content Marketing Strategist You will work closely with Elastic's global campaigns, paid media, product marketing, web, events, and SEO leads, as well as third-party agencies, to build, curate, and customize content experiences. You are a strong writer and content strategist who can collaborate with agencies and product experts to translate technical jargon into stories and assets that drive business value for technology buyers and builders. You have journalistic integrity and an obsession with finding new ways to champion and reach audiences. Your responsibilities will include: Content strategy & planning * Maintain campaign content inventory and audit to improve existing assets, retire outdated/underperforming assets, and ideate areas for new content development. * Use content performance data, audience / persona insights, and competitive analysis to develop the annual content strategy, customer journey mapping, and final content plan (omni-channel assets). * Facilitate brainstorm sessions with cross-functional marketing teams to ideate content / assets to address gaps in the campaign customer journey. Content Production & Oversight: * Build relationships with subject matter authorities (internal and external) to find, build, or optimize stories into multi-channel formats, in-house and/or with external agencies. * From asset brief and SME interviews to outlines and copywriting to final asset delivery - you will be responsible for the production process for multiple content formats (e.g., email, webpages, eBooks, video scripts) that drive audience engagement, SEO relevance, and brand excellence. * Lead asset production and promotional writing process crafted with third-party agencies, including SOW/PO management and project deadlines. * Review campaign content built by other marketing content creators, such as SEO, product marketing, social, and PR, to drive consistency, quality, and accurate use of the Elastic style guide and campaign messaging. Content Distribution & Performance: * Work with demand gen, social media, paid, digital, etc. to ensure assets are tagged and promoted across Elastic marketing channels. * Monitor content performance metrics, using data to optimize future content strategies and improve user engagement. * Based on performance insights, provide recommendations on how to improve our content, including presenting to executive team members with the Director of Content & SEO, as needed. Candidates will be asked to submit a creative portfolio. What you bring: * Bachelor's degree in a Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism, or a related degree and/or relevant work experience * 5+ years of proven experience in content strategy, content marketing, or a similar role within a B2B tech marketing environment (demand gen team experience recommended) * Experience crafting customer-facing content across the marketing funnel, specifically TOFU and MOFU content * Comfort advising creative agencies and writers, and collaborating with in-house designers, developers, and technology practitioners * A strong understanding of SEO and digital analytics tools to optimize content experiences based on organic and paid performance data * Experience in project management, with a proven record of successfully leading multiple projects and streams of work. * Creative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to anticipate market trends and craft innovative content experiences Although not required, you may have experience: * Crafting content for product launches / releases, government, education, and/or healthcare * Building persona profiles and messaging, and conducting user research and testing     #LI-JM5 Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below.  These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.   An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program. Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.
