Maintains laboratory by performing tasks such as cleanup, replenishing supplies and removing chemical waste. 15% Oversees up to two undergraduates in maintenance of experiments and data collection in the field. Qualifications Required: * BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution. * Previous research experience with soybean crops and pests About the Department The Department of Entomology is engaged in teaching, extension and research related to biodiversity and systematics, ecology, physiology, neurobiology, and functional genomics of diverse insects and other invertebrates, including pollinators, mosquitoes and ticks, and management of pests in residential, commercial/industrial, agricultural, forested, and urban landscapes. The department offers MS and PhD degrees in Entomology, and an undergraduate Insect Science Minor. The Department maintains the University of Minnesota Insect Collection, one of the largest university-affiliated insect collections in North America with > 4 million specimens, representing over 53,000 described species.
