Junior Engineer Location: Los Angeles, CA Department: Azzur Consulting LLC Job Description THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE We are seeking a diligent Junior Engineer to join our team for conducting periodic reviews of computerized systems. This role involves verifying user access, user groups, and ensuring compliance with training requirements. The Junior Engineer will work closely with senior team members to assess and document the current state of access controls and user permissions within our computerized systems. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity and compliance within a dynamic organization. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct periodic reviews of computerized systems to verify user access and permissions. * Assess user groups and roles within systems to ensure they align with organizational policies and standards. * Review training records to confirm that users have completed required training courses. * Document findings and discrepancies identified during reviews. * Collaborate with senior engineers to recommend improvements to access controls and user permissions. * Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to access control and user management. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Previous experience or coursework related to cybersecurity, access management, or compliance is preferred. * Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Familiarity with common IT systems and software applications. * Capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes quickly. * Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar are a plus.
