Position Details Advertising/Posting Title Conference Coordinator Diversity Statement The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. Posting Summary To plan and administer Continuing Medical and Inter-professional Education (CMIE) postgraduate programs. Analyze and interpret accreditation standards and guidelines to develop program activities and monitor programmatic compliance in collaboration with course directors. Develop and oversee income and expense budgets for each conference and solicit financial support and implement on-line grant requests. Develop planning documentation for the conference. Select site location, oversee catering arrangement, and on-site management. Provide oversight and administrative coordination of post-conference activities. Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Bachelor's degree and two years related administrative or conference management experience required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective organizational, interpersonal and oral/written communication skills essential. Desirable Qualifications Marketing knowledge and experience desirable. Negotiation skills desirable. Experience in developing educational objectives and designing outcomes measurement tools desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Applications. Anticipated Pay Range 53,000-62,000/year Other Information Special Conditions Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position FLSA Exempt Union Position Yes, UVMSU ($20 minimum hourly rate) Posting Details Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice.
