Department Overview Openpath Security (Openpath), a Motorola Solutions Company, is a leader within the access control industry. Openpath's access control solution makes businesses more secure with multi-factor authentication, enables a contactless entry experience and can be easily scaled and managed due to its cloud-based architecture. Job Description Motorola Solution offers an integrated enterprise safety and security technology ecosystem. The Engineering team at Motorola is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer with hardware experience to join our team in Culver City. This role requires depth in software core competencies, along with a strong interest in developing automation infra, extending test coverage, generating reports, and collaborating with Product Managers and Software developers to investigate issues. Responsibilities: * Testing highly reliable Firmware for our internally designed embedded systems as well as hardware interface services in the Linux environment. * Define and execute comprehensive test strategies before releasing them to production * Verification testing and writing documentation. * Testing new features and existing packages * Analyzing data and document tests * Setup, configure, and troubleshoot test equipment and devices * Work with the QA team to design, develop, and execute test scripts for life cycle, unit, and regression testing * Work cross-functionally with mobile, backend, hardware, and firmware teams to develop new products and features * Work with customer support and other software teams as a technical resource for any customer issues and retest bugs as needed Qualifications: * 2+ years experience in QA/testin * Bachelor's Degree * Working knowledge of CICD workflows and basic implementation principles * Strong ability to analyze existing code and debug * Familiarity with JIRA, TestRail, and Networking Protocols * Results-oriented, dependable, and accountable * Willingness to work autonomously * Highly organized, can juggle competing priorities and tasks * Willing to learn and share your knowledge with others The base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 - $100,000 depending on experience. #LI-CA1 Basic Requirements * 2+ years experience in QA/testing * Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
