Network Administrator JobID: 3829 Position Type: Administration/Supervisory/Network Administrator Date Posted: 9/5/2024 Location: New Oxford Central Office, New Oxford, PA Closing Date: 10/23/2024   Additional Information: Show/Hide Program: The Educational Technology Services Team at the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 offers expertise in disciplines including administrative, network administration, system integration, application and desktop support. Educational Technology Services is here to provide leadership, innovation and expertise to educational entities in Adams, Franklin and York Counties. Description: This Network Administrator will work closely with the Manager of IT Systems. The role will be responsible for the setup, configuration, and project management of the core Cisco network environment. This position will require an individual to work closely with management and external vendors. The individual must be able to communicate complex technical topics in summary form to various levels of management and vendors. This individual will also be critical to technical troubleshooting efforts, development of optimal network solutions, and resolving issues in a timely manner. Position requires frequent travel to school district or LIU offices, classrooms, PDE, and other intermediate units. Qualifications: * Management experience, preferred * Degree/Certifications in related discipline, preferred * Proven experience in a network administrator role * Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching * Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network infrastructure * Experience with firewalls, remote access, troubleshooting, and problem resolution * Experience with providing training to adults, preferred * Demonstrated leadership ability with professional and paraprofessional staff * Demonstrated ability in communications, including spoken and written English Terms: Full-time, 260 days (12 months) Salary: Act 93 position, salary to be determined, plus excellent benefits
