Job Description and Duties This position is located in the city of Sacramento. Under the general supervision/direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Graduate Student Assistant will work to support the Department of Rehabilitation's Cooperative Programs Section in assisting in the development and coordination of new and expanded funding opportunities within the Cooperative Programs Section. The GSA will also be responsible for working collaboratively with and assisting the Cooperative Programs Section's Student Assistant with oversight of funding opportunities in addition to assisting Cooperative Programs Section staff with outreach and collaboration with partners and DOR field staff. The GSA will also provide support to the Cooperative Programs Section in implementing a Cooperative Programs Conference, IPS training, and other large training opportunities. This position would provide additional support as needed to special projects for current Cooperative Program efforts such as behavioral health initiatives including tracking and communication of MHSA plans and community stakeholder engagement opportunities to DOR field leadership and development and maintenance of a county behavioral health agency contact list. The GSA additionally receives training and gains practical experience from observing and assisting staff within the Cooperative Programs Section. This position will also provide additional support as needed to special projects for current Cooperative Program efforts such as sustainable funding structures, program review and oversight restructure, invoicing, and data tracking procedures. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Working under the close supervision of a Staff Services Manager I and with direction from Cooperative Program Specialists, a GSA performs the following duties: 30% Under the close supervision of a Staff Services Manager I, The GSA assists in developing and tracking all new temporary funding opportunities and new contracts, monitors and analyzes data, records and documents contracts and communications. 25% Provides analytical and evaluative support to special projects for current Cooperative Program efforts such as behavioral health initiatives including tracking and communication of MHSA plans and community stakeholder engagement opportunities to DOR field leadership and development and maintenance of a county behavioral health agency contact list. 20% Provides support to the Cooperative Programs Section in administrative tasks related to a Cooperative Programs Conference, IPS training, and other large training opportunities including planning and implementation of all phases, sending out emails and surveys, evaluating responses and making recommendations, organizing presentation materials and logistics. 20% Provides additional support as needed to special projects for current Cooperative Programs efforts such as sustainable funding structures, program review and oversight restructure, invoicing, and data tracking procedures.
