Position Summary Austin, Texas (Hybrid) OR USA (Remote) Thales is seeking an experienced strategic events leader to join our marketing team as Global Events Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for driving the delivery of high quality external and internal events in partnership with internal stakeholders across the business. You will be responsible for executing and ensuring a world-class experience at the company's most influential internal and external events, major trade shows and conferences as well as other that are assigned. As the successful candidate, you will have a broad range of event and marketing experience and will possess strong organizational skills, work well independently or as part of a team, have exceptional communication and leadership skills. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Field Marketing, you will work alongside and partner with established regional, digital and corporate marketing teams to deliver exceptional events. Key Areas of Responsibility * Plan, manage, and execute assigned events, including global trade shows and conferences, working with marketing, product marketing, and sales teams across the business. * Acts as project lead for assigned events, making recommendations and holding all stakeholders accountable for their area of responsibility. * Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities on every event. * Work closely with stakeholders and team members to develop event plans outlining event details, deliverables and marketing initiatives required to promote the event. * Coordinate and manage internal teams and external vendors in the execution of marketing programs and maximize vendor strategic partnerships * Eager to jump in and help with ad hoc marketing projects and open to embracing new challenges. Minimum Qualifications * 5 to 8 years of experience with all aspects of event management including, but not limited to venue/vendor sourcing, vendor management, budget management, registration, communications, campaigns/promotion strategy * IT/Technology or cybersecurity industry event experience * Ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritize multiple tasks, and complete scheduled tasks on time under competing deadline pressures * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple programs and priorities while remaining flexible and open to continuous growth and improvement. * Must demonstrate a professional demeanor and be able to interface with internal stakeholders, external vendors and customers at all organizational levels. * Able to independently resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
