Title: Senior Equipment Maintenance Technician Date: Jun 17, 2024 Location: CA, US Work Location Type: On-site Company: QuantumScape Corporation Description: QuantumScape developed the industry's first anode-less cell design, which delivers high energy density while lowering material costs and simplifying manufacturing. Our innovative battery cell technology can store energy more efficiently and reliably than today's lithium-ion batteries. Equipment Maintenance Technician 4: Temporary/Contractor Must be able to work one of the following shifts: Shift 4: Sunday- Tuesday and Every Other Saturday from 630pm-630am OR Shift 7: Thursday-Saturday and Every Other Wednesday from 630am-630pm. Note: Estimated length of the contract is about 12 months. Responsibilities: * Utilizes work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering specifications, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. * Performs complex electro-mechanical technical functions and activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, troubleshooting and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models, specialized test equipment, tools and test fixtures. * Tests and troubleshoots system level and component level problems in electrical and mechanical systems and sub-systems with minimal supervision. Assignments require solution of difficult problems by application of technical knowledge. * Compiles logbooks and test procedures documentation utilizing good writing skills. Assists in revising, developing, and implementing documented procedures. Documents complex technical reports and test procedures. * Performs mechanical, electrical, pneumatic & vacuum and process testing on multiple platforms to Engineering and Manufacturing documentation and specifications. * Checks own work for conformance to specifications. In-depth knowledge of job assignments. Details finished work. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform build, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Strong troubleshooting capability and process improvement. * Effectively utilizes quality tools to lead problem solving. Assist supervisor in alignment of resources to daily production needs. * Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Attends required health and safety training and follows safety and security policies, procedures, and practices. Promptly reports accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept. Follows operating instructions, uses protective equipment when required, and uses equipment and materials properly. Actively strives to prevent accidents and injuries. Functional Knowledge: * Has a good understanding of how related teams coordinate efforts and resources to achieve objectives. * Exercises judgment, based on previous experience, practices and precedents, to identify and solve problems that arise with little or no precedent. * Impacts the effectiveness of own team and closely related teams. * Exchanges ideas and information effectively; uses tact and diplomacy when dealing with others. Qualifications: Professional Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10 years of related experience Education: Associates degree in related work (Preferred) This position is required to perform these above essential duties and responsibilities onsite at our QS offices. Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate range for this role has a range of $29.38 to $41.01, and a final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience and educational background.
