Overview Director of Student Services Full Time 8:00am-4:30pm; Monday-Friday Rock Island, IL The Director of Student Services and External Relations is responsible for the admission/retention, marketing /publications, student support services, student engagement activities, accommodation services, and external relationships of the College. This position is part of the administrative team of the College and serves as a member of the College Cabinet. The Director of Student Services and External Relations participates in strategic planning and management of the College. The Director of Student Services functions to fulfill the Vision, Mission, and Values of Trinity College in accordance with the rules and regulations of all appropriate external governing/regulatory agencies and under the policies and procedures of the College. The Director, Student Services and External Relations is responsible for providing services to students to assist their educational and support needs throughout their program of study. S/he works with all College stakeholders to promote a climate conducive to learning for the student population. Responsibilities Marketing, Publications, Recruitment, and Admissions * Directs admission staff in implementing recruitment and matriculation strategies. * Plans and implements marketing and advertising strategies for the College and College programs. * Manages development of bi-annual alumni newsletter. * Manages the production of accurate publications, both print and digital. Strategic Planning, and the Community * Leads in short and long range strategic planning with development of operational plans to effect goal achievement. * Engages in integrated planning process with College Chancellor and Governing Board. * Collaborates in development of new programs relative admissions process and marketing. * Provides analysis of marketing budget, including return on marketing investment. Services for Students * Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate orientation programs for students. * Maintains oversight of Student Work Study program. * Maintains oversight of Trinity College Scholarship program. Works collaboratively with Trinity Health Foundation and Trinity College Business Services Director to award scholarship annually. Qualifications Required: * Master's degree in higher education, counseling, human resources, or related field * Two years of current experience in student services related work; experience managing personnel Preferred: * Doctoral degree in higher education, counseling, human resources, or related field * Experience in student services aspects of higher education Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: * Write, read, comprehend, and speak fluent English * Strong organizational skills with ability to conduct or assist with multiple projects simultaneously * Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI) * Strong written and verbal (presents to small and large groups) * Student and customer-focused * Area of Interest: Management; * FTE/Hours per pay period: 1.0; * Department: TCNHS - Student Services; * Shift: -; * Job ID: 151273;
