As a Production Engineer, your key responsibility will be to oversee and optimize manufacturing processes at our site, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness. In this role, you will actively engage with customers, drive cultural changes, manage scale-up processes, conduct material substitution trials, and leverage your expertise to troubleshoot issues and provide innovative solutions, all with the aim of maintaining smooth and successful production operations. As a Production Engineer, you create chemistry by... * Providing technical leadership for production campaigns to ensure products are manufactured in line with quality, cost, efficiency, compliance, safety, and responsible care standards. This includes preparing for production runs, monitoring production, and managing any changes to instructions or material usage. * Proactively optimizing processes, exploring alternative technologies, and effectively mitigating ergonomic and process safety risks, quality deficiencies, equipment failures, costs, and waste, resulting in enhanced efficiency and overall operational excellence. * Troubleshooting and devising effective solutions to address challenges in processes, equipment, and product quality. * Mastering your products, processes, and equipment to efficiently tackle any issues that may arise. * Collaborating closely with Process Engineers and actively participating in plant trials, including scaling up new products, transferring technology or products between plants, and conducting trials for substituting raw materials. * Effectively overseeing process changes within your sphere of responsibility by implementing the BASF Management of Change process. * Proficiently compiling and presenting information, establishing strong relationships, and collaborating closely with contact supervisors to provide invaluable direction and guidance to the plant floor. If you... * Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred) * Possess previous experience working in a production environment (required). * Have 3-5 years of professional experience in an industrial discipline (process design, process support, and/or production). * Possess a strong aptitude for technical problem-solving. * Demonstrate skills in effectively interpreting and presenting data.
