Job: Adjunct Associate Professor: EESC BC3800 Environmental Science Senior Seminar Job Summary: The Environmental Science Department at Barnard College seeks a part-time instructor to teach our Senior Seminar thesis course during the Fall 2024 semester. Job Description: Responsibilities include co-teaching the Senior Thesis course. Instructors will be advising students as they develop their thesis research, to writing in class, and in follow-up work. They will work closely with a team of instructors on the course roll-out and monitor progress of students. They will take turns on presentation and grading, through research, to writing thesis and poster session with opportunities for feedback. Strong candidate identified. Skills, Qualifications & Requirements: * PhD required. * Excellent writing and communication skills. * Ability to collaborate with others. * Must be available on Thursday afternoons before or after class to meet with students and free to set up faculty meetings. * Experience in environmental research a plus. * Please supply cv and three references upon request. * EEO Statement: Barnard College is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
