Job Summary:    Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Senior Associate Director of Admissions will oversee the mainland-based recruitment staff and play a crucial role in attracting and enrolling students that align with the University's mission. With a focus on data-driven strategies, the manager will collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions to develop and execute effective recruitment plans. Responsibilities include managing the recruitment staff, creating recruitment budgets, providing ongoing training and development, and ensuring strategies are carried out and revised as needed. The Senior Associate Director will also be involved in the admissions process, assessing eligibility for acceptance, counseling prospective students and families, processing application files, and maintaining correspondence with applicants. Additionally, this individual contributes to departmental goals, update the Admissions Office manual, and assist with various duties as assigned.    Qualifications:    Minimum Qualifications:  * Five years of work experience in student recruitment, university admissions, public relations, or related experience * Two years of staff/employee management experience * Bachelor's Degree * Demonstrated computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Able to travel, as necessary, for extended periods ranging from several days to several weeks at a time * Experience working with teams, and professional presentation and public speaking skills Desired Qualifications: * Master's degree * Experience in recruitment, event planning, marketing, web and social media * Experience in Ellucian Banner and/or Salesforce/Target-X * Experience in higher education administration in the private sector Other Qualifications:  * Report to work obligations to support the department and may require work during HPU holidays as necessary  * Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy * Must have reliable transportation to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position * This position may also require driving responsibility for an HPU vehicle and must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with HPU's Vehicle Driving policy * Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills * Must be flexible, willing to work evenings and weekends, able to multi-task, and enjoy speaking in public and to large groups  Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:    1. Recruitment of students and management of the mainland-based recruitment staff (60%) * Responsible for the management of assigned recruitment territories, and associated travel, both domestic and international. * Responsible for the day-to-day management of the mainland-based recruitment staff. * Collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions on the execution of effective recruitment strategies informed by data to enroll mainland and international students that support the University's mission.  * Collaborate with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions on the creation of a comprehensive mainland recruitment budget that is based on past enrollment analysis as well as current and future trends and opportunities.   * Work closely with mainland-based recruitment staff to get feedback and ensure that strategies are carried out and revised as needed. In conjunction with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, develop recruitment goals and budgets for the mainland-staff. * Conduct annual performance appraisals. Hire, train, coach and develop recruitment staff as needed. Oversee ongoing training of recruitment staff. * Document trainings and manuals of policies and procedures, and programs for recruitment staff.   2. Admissions Process (25%) * Determine eligibility for acceptance into the University based on information provided in each students file. * Counsel prospective students and families about admission, financial aid, scholarships, registration, academic programs and student life at the University. * Manage the collection and processing of application files for assigned domestic and international territories. * Develop and implement timely and efficient written and electronic correspondence with applicant pool. * Meet expectations of phoning, email, and social media campaigns to prospective students and parents.  * Responsible for interpreting financial aid offers to provide prospective students with accurate information and counseling concerning financial need. * "Counselor of the Day" - Participate in the rotation to assist with walk-in visitors and phone calls from prospective students and families. 3. Other (15%) * Develop and recommend the formulation of departmental goals and objectives to ensure teamwork, productivity and professional growth and development in the department. * Responsible for preparing, maintaining and updating assigned sections of the Admissions Office manual in keeping with the mission of the University. * Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments.  * Assists with seasonal peaks.  * Perform other related duties as assigned.
