Position Summary: The Senior Transportation Manager has ownership & overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, and execution of all product shipments and logistics required in support of the Everon business. Ownership for relationship management and primary coordination with partners, stake holders and customers. This leader provides direction to the organization to help achieve company objectives, set and support policy, manage supplier agreements, relationships and control transportation costs. This individual will have an internal customer-focused outlook, excellent communications skills, strong organizational abilities, excellent attention to detail, can-do attitude and strong work/results ethic in a team-based environment. Duties and Responsibilities: * Manage all aspects for shipping and logistics activities including billing services, ensuring we are receiving best in class support. * Implement and drive a continuous improvement approach/mentality both internally and with external partners. * Support activities associated to transportation partner negotiation and contracts. * Provide guidance and leadership to Transportation Analyst role. * Manage/Maintain full scope of freight accounts required in the support of the business activity. * Support efforts required to expand international activity as dictated by business requirements. * Support analysis and reporting needs related to transportation. * Develop and maintain key performance metrics. * Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintain ethical practices. Challenges: * Scale and complexity of activity ~90 branch locations and 1,000+ suppliers with planned expansion to international markets. * 2X Planned business growth over the next 5 years * Building effective team and relationships, sometimes from a distance, with key internal and external influencers. Education/Certification: * Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, or related business field preferred (not required) Required Qualifications: * Previous experience and proven track record managing enterprise level Transportation/Logistics function. * Previous working experience / strong exposure to FedEx * Able to work independently with strong teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. * Demonstrated ability to simplify a complex, cross-functional process. * Strong commercial supply chain process knowledge. * Able to influence, train, present to stakeholders at all levels. * Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize on the fly in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical skills to extract insights and make improvement recommendations. * Self-starting mentality and highly accountable for results. * Knowledge of legal environment related to purchasing contracts. * Technical expertise related to of our key technology areas * Strong negotiating and contracting skills essential * Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key internal business stake holders.
