Schedule: 1pm-9pm Monday - Thursday. 9am-5pm on Friday. Schedule varies for summer programming.
The Director of Programming is a full-time (exempt) position within the Boys & Girls Club of Rosebud. S/he is responsible for overseeing all operations for club sites and related programming. This includes program development and implementation, supervision and development of program staff, budget management and oversight of maintenance director.

Responsibilities:
Supervise all Club operations in Executive Director’s absence
Schedule and lead regular meetings with program staff
Requisition supplies, materials and equipment
Check inventory, maintain records and verify receipts for materials
Assist the executive director in setting the annual program budget, ensuring programs remain within the financial parameters set and approved by the Board of Directors
Promote membership by developing relationships with existing members and their caregivers, as well as fostering new relationships within the community
Develop plan for adult membership procedures, manage members
Ensure all permits and certificates are up-to-date
Assist with safety inspections and manage safety drills
Ensure complete staff/building compliance with all EEC regulations
Compile reports as necessary for grants
Manage DOE food service program, including purchasing, distribution and reporting
Provide programmatic reports to the Executive Director and other members of the management team at least twice per month
Recruit and manage volunteers
Serve on Safety Committee
Ensure all members and staff are in compliance with club policies and procedures
Coordinate program schedule and use of facility by outside entities/organizations
Participate in development of strategic plan, ensuring implementation of goals set forth as related to programming
Assist in timely completion of annual report as required by BGCA
Oversee implementation and continued participation in BGCA’s National Youth Outcomes Initiative
Manage behavior issues as they relate to club members
Perform other duties as needed
Personnel Management:
Supervise the Site Directors in program planning and implementation, regularly evaluating program outcomes
Oversee hiring of all program staff (part-time and full-time), providing regular performance evaluations, setting goals and offering training opportunities
Manage all program staff, determining Club needs and setting weekly schedules
Lead the program staff to ensure that the club is meeting the needs and interests of all club members through consistent, high-quality programming
Submit and manage all background checks and ensure compliance with state regulations
Serve as liaison between staff and executive director, monitoring expenses and helping set facility-related priorities
Program Management:
Set and enforce standards of conduct for members
Ensure proper supervision of youth at all times
Create and oversee implementation of innovative programming geared toward meeting the three target areas for the BGCR – academic success, health and nutrition, and good citizenship
Utilize BGCA tools for programs, including Power Hour, TRAIL, Project Learn and Career Launch
Qualifications:
Preferably, hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Preferably, at least five years’ experience working with youth in a similar setting
A minimum of two years supervisory experience
Experience with program planning and implementation
An understanding of fiscal matters, including budgeting
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate well with others
The desire to work with a diverse population
Highly organized
Knowledge of EEC requirements
Problem analysis, assessment and resolution
Ability to delegate
First Aid/CPR certified
Valid driver's license
Ability to successfully pass state and federal background checks
