Job Title: Construction Safety Manager (Nashville, TN)

Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 2 years (Immediate Start)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $50/hr no perdiem, local candidates only
  • Completion Bonus: $150/month
  • Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

  • Hours: Mon-Friday, 8 hour days

Project Scope:
The Construction Safety Manager will oversee the safety of the General Contractor renovating a terminal at Nashville Airport. This would be the only safety on this project as of now. The project is just starting, so it will initially involve heavy administration and permits (JSAs, Site Walks, Audits, safety enforcement, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 10+ years in construction safety management.
  • Certifications: Current OSHA 30 certification

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations.
  • Provide safety training as needed.
  • Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety practices.
  • Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence.
  • Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required within the manager's skills and certifications

Skills:

  • Excellent public speaking and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • OSHA outreach training experience is a plus.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive information.

Knowledge: Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction, with the ability to communicate these effectively.
