The Department of Psychology at the University of Oregon is one of the largest departments within the College of Arts and Sciences, supporting significant instructional and research activities in a wide range of fields. The Department enrolls about 1,900 students per term, with approximately 300 undergraduate Psychology majors and 80 doctoral students. The Department includes more than 30 teaching faculty, emeritus faculty, research staff, graduate students, and professional/administrative staff. For more information on the Department, visit

our website . Position Summary

The Department of Psychology seeks qualified applicants for its Research open recruitment pool. Positions are limited duration appointments that are part-time or short-term, with contracts not to exceed one year. There is a possibility of renewal up to a total of three years, depending on programmatic need, funding, and performance. Successful candidates will share the Department’s commitment to an inclusive environment and work effectively with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds. Research Assistant positions will conduct research under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). In addition, to further research learning, the research assistant will receive an annual performance evaluation. Research Associate positions will conduct research with only general guidance from the PI and will receive an annual performance evaluation. Postdoctoral Research Scholars will conduct research under the direction of a faculty member to acquire research training, and will create and follow mentoring and individual development plans with the PI. Salary is dependent upon education, experience, and available funding. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis. Screening of applications will take place as positions become available and will continue until positions are filled. Minimum Requirements

Research Assistant: • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field. Research Associate: • Ph.D. in-hand by the start of the position • Experience in a research lab. Postdoctoral Research Scholar: • Ph.D. in-hand by the start of the position • Experience in a research lab. Professional Competencies

• Professional experience, ability, or potential for quality research. Preferred Qualifications
