JOB SUMMARY: Under supervision, provides entry level professional support in one or more of the following areas: OMAT, maintenance, construction, intermodal, planning, utilities, surveying, environmental and traffic. JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under limited supervision, administers utility pre-construction and construction activities for a District Utilities Office. Guides utility companies, consultants, construction and permit inspectors in the proper development, resolution and processing of utility estimates and encroachment. Represents the District Utilities office in various meetings and committees as required and provide information to various personnel pertaining to ongoing projects. Processes utility permits in assigned area. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications. STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate's degree in a related field OR One year of experience at position equivalent. AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Two years of work experience with utility activities in the operation, design, construction or maintenance of roadway projects * Two years of work experience interpreting complex highway construction plans related to utility activities. * Experience using Microstation or other design software. * Experienced in reading and understanding complete highway construction plans.
