Description:
Hold or be eligible for a valid West Virginia teaching certificate with proper endorsement in Multi-Subjects K-6, K-8, Elem Ed K-6; K-5; 1-6 required. Successful applicant must have demonstrated successful strategies utilizing whole group or small flexible group instruction; an understanding of the five components of reading and an in-depth knowledge of phonics, phonemic awareness and decoding skills; knowledge of scientifically based reading research; core standards; test item analysis and interpretation; motivational techniques; classroom management; relevant Reading and Math strategies and parental involvement.
