GRADUATE ENGINEER Aguirre & Fields is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Graduate Engineer - Roadway Division in our Austin, TX office. POSITION SUMMARY Using prescribed methods, perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced professional engineer to develop professional working knowledge, requiring the application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria necessary to fulfill the experience requirement for licensure as a professional engineer. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Provide leadership with grit and character by being a good communicator, having an interest in learning, be inspiring, a visionary, a team builder, live our Purpose, help achieve our Vision, allow others to shine, taking responsibility, leading by example, and being dependable, respectful, passionate and an active listener. * Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks by a professional engineer. * Perform routine technical work. * Prepare routine plans, designs and calculations, and cost estimates by following standard engineering practices and procedures within established guidelines. * Acquire an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities. * Receive close supervision on all aspects of assignments. * Interact and assist with other staff on assignments. * Assume other duties as directed by immediate supervisor. * Comply with all Company policies, procedures, practices, and rules. * Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Guiding Principles. * Live our Purpose and help achieve our Vision.
