Job Title: Product Development Engineer Job Description As a Product Development Engineer, you will be tasked with overseeing the design, engineering, and development of manufactured goods, while also supporting the sustaining engineering of current products. You will be instrumental in supporting new product designs that fulfill strategic goals while integrating the needs of marketing, sales, and manufacturing departments. Your responsibilities will also include maintaining and growing knowledge and expertise in assigned product categories, performing research and development, solving problems, creating engineering and quality specifications, and developing test protocols. You will take initial ideas and develop various approaches while focusing on defined objectives. Additionally, you will direct the creation of models or samples and fine-tune designs until they are ready for production. This role requires performing a wide range of assignments of a complicated nature with minimal guidance. You will provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and aid in the development of best practices. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Work Environment You will be part of a team that consists of a supervisor and 6 other members. As an engineer, you will oversee product categories and act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific products, likely including Toasters, Gas Products, and Panini Presses. The team is very collaborative, often supporting each other when a group's workload is low. The broader team consists of 3 other groups, each with 4-13 engineers/designers.
