OVERVIEW OF THE COMPANY Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. JOB DESCRIPTION Present compelling live-daily traffic reports. Will be part of a live ensemble weekday morning anchor team. Conduct live interviews and report on subjects both traffic and non-traffic related, emphasizing creativity and originality. Be ready to present the weather and back up our Meteorologist during severe weather events. Must be an outstanding storyteller and live on-air performer with strong interviewing skills and ability to ad-lib effectively. Be an energetic, effective, clear communicator. Update traffic information on multiple platforms and maintain a high profile/engagement on social media to attract, inform and engage the audience. Two to three years' experience as television news/traffic/weather/ anchor/reporter. Prior television traffic or weather presenter experience strongly preferred . College degree is preferred in a communications related field. Strong knowledge of current events. Strong command of English language; working knowledge of libel laws and generally accepted journalistic ethics. Ability to present factual, timely, accurate and responsible traffic information. Must be a highly creative, motivated self-starter and be a team player. Must exercise good judgment. Working knowledge of newsroom and traffic computer systems. Ability to shoot and edit. Strong social media skills. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to drive company vehicles.
