Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is currently seeking Engineering students for a variety of Engineering Internship & co-op opportunities we currently have available this summer & fall semester! This role will work at our foundry in Bloomington, MN and will partner with the Engineering, Quality and Operations teams on various projects to support the needs of the business. This is a great opportunity for engineering students to join a stable & growth-oriented company that has been in business for over 100 years! Fulltime employment may be available to students at the completion of the co-op/internship. Major Responsibilities * Partner with our Product & Quality Engineers to work on projects/assignments related to the metallurgical, process or dimensional engineering aspects of our castings * Work with Engineering and shop floor employees to observe and document various steps in the manufacturing process * Analyze data related to manufacturing defects, downtime and variance in the process * Support continuous improvement initiatives, looking at opportunities to remove scrap & waste from the manufacturing process * Other various assignments to meets the needs of customers & CPP About You * Candidates seeking a BS/MS degree in Material Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Programming or Automation disciplines are preferred * AutoCAD, PLC Programming, MS Office Suites * Desire to learn and thrive in an independent work environment * Excellent written, verbal, & presentation communications skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Other information * $24/ hr * Onsite core hours * 4+ month internship AT CPP, internship assignments are considered temporary employment, with a predicted end date. No full-time employment commitments are made; however, some candidates may be considered for full-time positions upon graduation.
