Pay,Benefits, & Work Schedule Full-time position available with the Water Department, Laboratory Division located at 2 NE 32nd Ave Salary Range: $29.98-$44.97/hour Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Application Deadline Date: August 2, 2024 Responsibilities * Oversees and conducts specialized chemical analysis on various samples including water, wastewater and biosolids. * Operates advanced instrumentation, developing procedures and supervising laboratory activities. * Utilizes independent judgment in assigning tasks, interprets results and prepares detailed reports. * Directs laboratory operations, trains staff, and conducts research on treatment processes and compiling comprehensive reports for management. * Utilizes thorough knowledge of bacteriology, chemistry and laboratory practices, along with the ability to perform complex analysis, supervise teams and produce high-quality scientific reports. Qualifications REQUIRES an accredited Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Environmental Sciences or related sciences and 3 years of progressively responsible experience at the level of Chemist. Preference given to individuals with experience in General Chemistry and Microbiologic testing. Other Information URGENT!!!
