Duties and Responsibilities * Instill Safety as a top priority * Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members * Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans * Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel * Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly * Fill out daily foreman reports * Analyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedly * Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS) * Manage all excavating activities for your crew * Other duties may be assigned. Experience, Education & Skills * Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction * Willingness to travel * Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices * Must be familiar with heavy equipment * Ability to work outside in all weather conditions * Must have a valid Driver's License * Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools * Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs * Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills * Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies .
