Job Title: FWS--Student Associate for English and Special Assistant Job Summary: The USF English Department Main Office provides administrative and clerical support for full and adjunct faculty members. We are a busy office seeking a Student Associate and Special Assistant to assist us in providing office support. You would work in the English Department Office, located in Kalmanovitz Hall. We are looking to hire someone for 10-12 hours per week. Work shifts will fall in the normal office hours of Monday-Friday from 9:00-5:30pm. However, a few evenings may be required to attend events. Interviews will begin immediately and be conducted over zoom. Please note: If you feel that your prior experiences or employment (even if this is your first job) may preclude you from applying for this position, please still apply. Training will be provided to new employees regardless of previous experience. Full Job Description: Job Responsibilities * Clerical Office duties: data entry, xeroxing, faxing, scanning, printing/copying, answering phones, etc. * Creating mail merges for letters, publicity, folders, etc. * Assisting with the management of office library collection. * Liaison with Gleeson Library for major department events. * Assisting with confidential student files and information. * Running errands around campus. * Meet weekly with other team members and PA to discuss ongoing projects. * Assist PA with events * Distribute flyers for department sponsored events. * Send out emails to students and faculty * Assist in the monthly creation of Calliope, our department newsletter * Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Suite * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Receptive to direction and feedback. * Able to work independently and productively with and without direct supervision. * Excellent oral and written communication skills. * Highly organized and goal-oriented. * Sharp attention to detail. * Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. * English major in good standing Desired Qualifications * Work Study Preferred * Knowledge of AI organizational tools * High Interest in software * Knowledge of office equipment Full-Time/Part-Time: Part time Pay Rate: Hourly Salary Range : $18.67 - 22.00
