Experienced designer position with an emphasis on textile design, technical design and product development. This role follows all textile categories through the product design and development lifecycle ensuring design accuracy and integrity at all design & development touch points delivering best in class product. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Generate original textile design based on concept direction and in collaboration with Chief Design Officer. * Research industry trends to fuel design inspiration, new collection and category ideas. * Have an in depth understanding of fabric qualities, constructions, techniques and manufacturing and how they affect price points, and end use. * Generate all specs and BOM packages including initial product development, color guides, re-designs and revisions for production. * Manage and approve all cads and vendor drawings. * Produce vendor ready artwork in print and digital format for vendor partners. * Own the PD&D process, seeing product from concept through BOM to sampling and production, to ensure design consistency and product integrity. * Communicate directly with factories and / or agents. * Work proactively to keep the development calendar on track. * Contribute to final assortment review presentations, partnering cross-functionally to ensure all samples arrive in a timely manner. * Provide mentorship, guidance and feedback to textile team members. * Stay updated on advancements in textile technology, sustainable practices, and industry best practices. QUALIFICATIONS: * 5 years textile experience, with a BA in textile design or a related field. * Ability to build strong cross-functional and collaborative relationships. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work as part of a team. * Can listen well and follow direction. * Strong time management skills and an ability to prioritize work and juggle multiple tasks. * Is self-motivated, showing initiative and follow through. * Is dedicated, creative, passionate and resourceful. * Seeks assistance when faced with obstacles and ask questions when faced with ambiguity. * Expert in Adobe Suite. COMPENSATION: * $100-110k per year is the anticipated starting base pay for this role. This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this role. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: experience, education, and skills. * Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance should they choose to participate in Serena & Lily's benefits.
