Hair Stylist Job Description Freedom Village is looking for an experienced Hair Stylist to join our salon in our Independent Senior Living Community! You must have a current cosmetology license and your own tools, supplies and equipment. Our ideal candidate must be comfortable with senior hair and experienced with classic styles, perms and color. Our salon is equipped with 4 shampoo stations and 6 hooded chair dryers. Established clientele in large, luxury senior living community. Location: Downtown Holland, Michigan Part-time: Monday-Friday. No weekends or evenings required. Duties and Responsibilities * Discuss and confirm what service the client wants * Wash and condition client's hair * Cut, color, process, and style client's hair according to specifications * Manicures & Pedicures * Cultivate relationships with clients * Keep scissors sharp, brushes sanitized, and all equipment in good condition * Must provide own equipment and products. Pay rate is based on 68% of services provided. Qualifications * Valid state Cosmetology license * 2 years experience with senior hairstyles, perms, roller sets. * High school diploma or GED certificate * Passion for cutting and styling hair * Excellent communication and listening skills * Attention to detail Schedule: * Day shift * Monday to Friday * No weekends Supplemental pay types: * Commission pay License/Certification: * Cosmetology License (Preferred) Work Location: In person
