Summit Academy North is currently seeking a positive, creative and energetic full time Behavior Interventionist to join our Summit Family at the middle school! Bachelor's Degree (Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field) Our doors at Summit Academy North have been open for 25 years, educating students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. Located in Romulus, MI, our beautiful buildings are filled with over 1,600 inspiring young minds. Duties and Responsibilities: * Conduct functional behavior assessments to determine the underlying causes of student behavior * Develop behavior intervention plans that are individualized to meet the specific needs of students * Implement behavior intervention plans through direct interventions with students, as well as coaching and supporting teachers in implementing strategies * Monitor and track student progress in relation to behavior goals * Collaborate with school staff, parents, and outside agencies to provide a comprehensive support system for students * Provide crisis intervention and support as needed * Attend and participate in IEP meetings and behavior support team meetings * Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of interventions and progress * Stay current on best practices in behavior intervention and attend professional development opportunities as necessary Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field Company Benefits: * Health Insurance: Medical, Vision, & Dental Plans * 2% 401(k) company contribution * Life, ADD, STD, LTD 100% paid by the employer * Voluntary Plans Available To learn more about Summit Academy Schools, please visit our website at www.summitacademy.com
