Hiring Agency Education & Labor Cabinet | Office of the Secretary Location 500 Mero Street Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description The Education and Labor Cabinet's mission is to educate, prepare and train Kentucky's current and future workforces. Our goal is to create and make continuous improvements to an education and workforce system that prepares Kentuckians for the 21st century workforce, while helping businesses find the skilled workers they need to compete and create jobs in the Commonwealth. The cabinet is seeking to fill an Executive Advisor position located within the Office of Policy and Audit. Job duties include: * Investigate administrative and/or criminal complaint; determine whether information contain alleged facts that give reasonable cause to believe that the alleged wrongful act or omission has occurred or is being committed; examine witnesses, records, papers are tangible items; gathers and safeguards evidence, records as appropriate. * Recommend plan of action. * Support Executive Director on audits for the Cabinet. * Assist in coordination, tracking, gathering information, accessing the process/procedures the Cabinet has in place to ensure they meet the requirements, and remediation of findings. * Prepare a detailed report of each investigation which details the basis of the investigation. * Describe what the state agency in which the wrongful act or omission occurred is doing to change its policies or procedures to prevent recurrences of similar wrongful acts or omission. * Attend training and conducts research to stay familiar with investigative practices and technique, laws and regulations. Preferred skills: * Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Works well in a flexible, fast-paced environment. * Ability to work within a team as well as independently * Excellent interpersonal skills The Education and Labor Cabinet (ELC) participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
