Position Summary: Participates in public health research activities and provides support on various Michael & Susan Dell Center research projects. Position Key Accountabilities: 1. 1. Assist with Center and/or project activities related to a public health research 2. Support research activities of faculty and staff mentors in various areas of public health 3. Participate in administrative and other assigned tasks in order to be fully trained as a public health professional 4. Communicate with faculty and staff regarding projects and research 5. Receive training in public health research using Center project resources 6. Complete end-of-assignment project to be shared with Center faculty and staff Certification/Skills: Bilingual - English and Spanish preferred but not required. Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; but not required. Minimum Experience: None. Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects. Security Sensitive: This job class may contain positions that are security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code § 51.215 Residency Requirement: Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
