As an English Language Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting language learning and welcoming newcomers to Raleigh as part of our larger Cultural Outreach and Enrichment Program. As an English Language Teacher, you will engage with program participants and assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Curriculum Preparation: Collaborate with the COE Manager to prepare and administer English language class curriculum, ensuring engaging and effective instruction. * Enrichment Programs: Support the development and facilitation of enrichment programs tailored to English language participants, providing them with opportunities for personal and cultural growth. * Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks, including participant communication via email, attendance tracking, coordination with facility staff members, and timely response to inquiries. * Community Outreach: Contribute to the promotion of English language learning during community outreach initiatives, fostering inclusivity and encouraging participation in our programs. * Substitute Teaching: Step in as a substitute teacher when needed, ensuring a seamless learning experience for participants in the absence of a regular instructor. * Additional Responsibilities: Fulfill other duties and tasks as required to support the success and smooth operation of the Cultural Outreach and Enrichment Program. Qualifications: * Passion for language education and a desire to make a positive impact in the community. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds. * Flexibility and availability to work evenings and weekends as required by program needs. * Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for effective curriculum planning and administrative tasks. * Prior teaching experience or relevant educational background is preferred. * Cultural sensitivity and the ability to create an inclusive and welcoming learning environment.
