The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. You are part of the maintenance team, responsible to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, customer service, and a hazard-free environment. We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This is an on-site position. Meadows Apartments and Trailside Terrace are affordable, family-based communities in Jackson and Shingle Springs, CA with a combined 70 family-sized apartments. Pay: $22.50-23.64/hour DOE Benefits: * 15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays. * Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday. * Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance. * Employer paid life insurance. * Quarterly bonus pay to on-site staff. * 403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more. Duties: * Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete. * Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical. * Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed. Minimum Qualifications * High School diploma or equivalent. * Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience. Preferred Qualifications * Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work. * Technical training in one or more building trades preferred. Knowledge and Skills * Take direction from the supervisor. * Read, write, do basic math, and follow instructions. * Flexible to change work plans. * Maintain a professional personal appearance. * Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).
