Title: Carpentry / Grounds Shop Supervisor / Zone Foreman Supervisor State Role Title: 79033 Hiring Range: 41,655.00 Comensurate with Experience Pay Band: 4 Agency: Dept Behavioral Health/Develop Location: Central State Hospital Agency Website: www.csh.dbhds.virginia.gov Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties Central State Hospital is looking for a Carpentry / Grounds Shop Supervisor. In this role you will perform assignments independently, acquire quotes for projects, be responsible for planning the assigned work, following sketches, diagrams and blueprints. Manage contracts and contractors. This position provides supervision and technical guidance to foreman and techs requiring specialized skills and knowledge of several trades. Ensuring journeyman level work is performed, responsible for determining the appropriate work and safety methods are used. Enters and assigns work through the electronic work order system, and ensure work is performed in a timely manner. Performs under the supervision of the Physical Plant Services Director. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge of principles and practices of Electrical/HVAC systems, Able to provide technical oversight for the maintenance, repair, and installation of these systems utilizing best practices. Basic computer abilities in (Word, Outlook, Excel, CMMS). Exhibits skills in cultural competence. Embraces the concepts of Recovery, as evidenced by displaying respect and empathy when engaged with others. Verifiable commercial experience as a Carpenter is required. Valid Virginia Driver's License is required. Additional Considerations Experience as a Carpentry foreman is preferred. Experience in Carpentry in a hospital setting is preferred. Experience as a Carpentry foreman in a hospital setting is preferred.
