Job Summary:  The Lab Manager is the primary logistics and supply staff position for the GCHS campus in Las Vegas, NV. The Lab Manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the lab and supply storage room. This is a full-time, twelve-month staff position, reporting directly to the Director of Operations. The position primarily works on campus but may offer hybrid-remote working opportunities. Must be located in Clark County Nevada.    Qualifications:   Minimum Qualifications: * Associate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education, preferably in logistics, supply management or administration. * Experience in logistics, problem solving, supply accountability.  * Knowledge of supply management and equipment storage. * Knowledge of information technology and audio/visual systems. Desired Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree, preferably in logistics, supply management or administration. * Ability to work well with others (vendors, faculty, staff, etc.) * Ability to manage challenging situations and exercise sound judgement. * Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. * Ability to solve problems effectively. * Ability to create and implement systems and procedures that optimize workflows. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. * Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence awareness.    Other Qualifications: * Reports on work obligations to support the college and may require work during HPU's winter break, and on weekends, if necessary. * Must meet training and background check qualification and comply with the Protection of Minors policy. * Have reliable transportation to facilitate travel to HPU (Hawaii Pacific University) worksites and other locations as required by the position. Must have a valid driver's license, and personal or rental vehicle that is legally registered and insured. * Monitor, order and stock lab supplies as required. * Leads inventory maintenance and laboratory/storage room cleaning. * Always maintain a safe environment. Keep the laboratory clean and organized. * Research vendors for best products, pricing, and availability. Orders lab supplies/consumables. * Receives purchase shipments, verifies correct items received and stock shelves. * Responsible for compliance and audit preparation of assigned lab spaces for any regulatory and safety reviews.   Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: Administrative Responsibilities(85%) * Work closely and collaboratively with the GCHS Director of Operations to manage the equipment, supplies and facilities within the college. * Assist and support GCHS Director of Operations in problem solving and project planning and management. * Collaborates with the GCHS Director of Operations to manage the equipment budget for program equipment and supplies. * Assists with planning, managing, and directing the onsite lab intensive sessions for the college programs including construction/deconstruction of labs and coordination of moving equipment. * Assists with planning, managing, and directing the audio/visual equipment information and instructional technology in the lab space. * Assists with overseeing and coordinating the preventative maintenance schedule for all program equipment. * Coordinates with the HPU IT team to provide an optimal experience for students, faculty, staff, and guests regarding use of Wi-Fi and all IT A/V equipment in the lab space.   Performs other related duties as appropriate (15%) * Attends remote and in-person GCHS and program faculty and staff meetings as appropriate. * Supports event planning and coordination such as student orientation, graduation, and other events. * Actively participates as an effective member of a team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments. * Complete assigned activities relevant to the position, college team, and/or program as directed by the Dean. Other Responsibilities (5%) * Supports the mission, goals, and objectives of the college and programs. * Develops and maintains professional relationships with all administrators, faculty, staff, and students in the college and programs across HPU. * Conducts oneself positively and professionally as a representative of the college and HPU. * Adheres to all college, program, and HPU policies and procedures.
